Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 19, 2026
1. Nature of Service
ATX Tax Pilot provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool that generates property tax protest evidence packets based on public data, comparable sales information, and user-provided property details and photographs.
Important: ATX Tax Pilot is not a law firm, a tax consultancy, a licensed property tax professional, or a property tax agent. We do not provide legal advice, tax advice, or representation before any appraisal district or review board.
Our service is designed to help Texas homeowners prepare their own evidence for self-filing property tax protests with their respective County Appraisal Districts (CADs), including but not limited to:
- Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD)
- Williamson Central Appraisal District (WCAD)
- Hays Central Appraisal District (HCAD)
- Bastrop Central Appraisal District (BCAD)
- Caldwell Central Appraisal District (CCAD)
2. No Guarantee of Results
You acknowledge and agree that property tax assessments are inherently subjective and that the success of any property tax protest depends on numerous factors outside of our control, including but not limited to:
- The accuracy of information you provide
- Current market conditions in your specific neighborhood
- The discretion of appraisal district staff and Appraisal Review Board (ARB) members
- The quality and relevance of comparable properties
- Your presentation during any informal or formal hearing
ATX Tax Pilot does not guarantee that using our evidence packet will result in any reduction of your property taxes. The final decision rests solely with the County Appraisal District and the Appraisal Review Board. Past results for other users do not guarantee future outcomes.
3. The Pilot Guarantee (Refund Policy)
We offer a "Success or Refund" guarantee under the following conditions:
If you use our evidence packet to file a formal protest and receive a final determination from the ARB that results in $0 savings (no reduction from your original appraised value), you may request a full refund of your $49 fee within 60 days of your final hearing date.
To claim a refund, you must provide:
- A copy of your ARB Order or final determination letter from the CAD
- Proof that you submitted our evidence packet as part of your protest
- Your original order confirmation email
Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method. This guarantee does not apply if you withdrew your protest, failed to attend your hearing, or did not submit the evidence packet.
4. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Filing Your Own Protest: ATX Tax Pilot does not file the protest for you. You must download the generated PDF and upload it to the relevant county portal or submit it in person before the legal deadline.
- Meeting Deadlines: The typical protest deadline in Texas is May 15 (or 30 days after the notice of appraised value is mailed, whichever is later). It is your responsibility to know and meet your specific deadline.
- Accuracy of Information: Providing accurate property details, photographs, and appraisal values. False or misleading information may result in rejection of your protest.
- Photo Rights:Ensuring you have the right to upload any photographs you submit and that they accurately represent your property's condition.
- Attending Hearings: If required, attending informal and/or formal hearings with the appraisal district or ARB.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclosure
Our service uses artificial intelligence technologies to:
- Analyze property photographs and estimate repair costs
- Generate executive summaries and market analysis narratives
- Identify comparable sales and market trends
You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. While we strive for accuracy, you should review all generated content before submission and make corrections as needed. The AI-generated estimates for repair costs are approximations and should not be relied upon for actual repair decisions.
6. Intellectual Property
The evidence packets generated for you are licensed for your personal use in protesting your property taxes. You may not:
- Resell or redistribute our generated content
- Use our service to generate packets for properties you do not own or are not authorized to represent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our algorithms or methodologies
All trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed on this site are the property of ATX Tax Pilot or their respective owners.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATX TAX PILOT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Missed filing deadlines
- Technical errors on county appraisal district websites
- Decisions made by appraisal districts or ARBs
- Any financial decisions made based on our data or estimates
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service ($49).
8. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
